With the holidays just around the corner, time is running out to get a handle on each little preparation before the family all comes to town. Whatever you’re celebrating, nothing is a bigger gift
Conquer Your Clutter
Whether moving in, moving out, or just staying put, decluttering your home can be a task so tedious, most of us end up procrastinating, or just avoiding it completely. Here are 5 easy ways to declutter your living space, while getting the best use out of each room in your home:
Take the process room by room. Focusing on one room at a time is a great way to check off your cleaning list faster than if you tried to tackle cleaning the whole house at once.
Use “rules of three”, by only grouping small objects in the room by three. This creates symmetry between the objects, adding a feng shui feeling throughout the space.
Have storage baskets in each room for add-ons like blankets, throws and pillows. Blankets are bulky, so this will create more space in each room, as well as creating cleaner looking furniture.
Put decorations in a shelving or storage space – that way you’re leaving your room decor out of the main walking space, and are able to have them in the room without experiencing the clutter they possess.
Make sure to have closed storage as well. Not every object in the room is made for decoration, so hide whatever pieces are unnecessary for design.
